Medical and PWBD concurrent plenaries this morning
It’s hard to choose—but you just might have to! Today at 10:15, we will be hosting our first concurrent plenaries. In the medical track, “Defining success in hemophilia care – Are we doing it right?” Alok Srivastava, MD, will look at our definitions of success, to explore whether we are using the correct approach to determine if we’re making progress for our community. In the PWBD track, “Oral health and quality of life: Let’s talk intimacy, pain and self esteem” Zikra Alkhayal, ABPD, will explore the intimate connection between oral health, sexuality, and overall quality of life. Young researcher free paper session taking place at 11:30
This morning’s young researcher free paper session will feature several promising scientists and researchers who are working to improve the lives of PWBDs. Gene therapy registry takes centre stage at 17:15
Join us this afternoon for a WFH highlight session on the WFH Gene Therapy Registry. Talks will look at the importance of a gene therapy registry from the perspective of various stakeholders, including participating hemophilia treatment centres, national registries, patients, regulatory bodies, and industry. Shuttle bus schedule
The WFH will be providing a shuttle service between the official WFH hotels and the IFEMA Convention Center on Congress days (April 21 to 24). Several shuttles will travel between the Meliá Castilla, Novotel Madrid Center, Hotel H10 Tribeca, Ilunion Alcalá Norte, Ilunion Atrium, Marriott Auditorium, and the RIU Plaza España. Shuttles will depart approximately every thirty minutes and will loop continuously throughout the morning and late afternoon. WFH 2024 Congress signs will be posted at all boarding sites identifying the location as a WFH Shuttle pick-up and drop-off site.
