Cedric Hermans, MD, PhD
Vice President, Medical
Cedric Hermans, MD, PhD, brings years of leadership experience with the WFH to his new role, including being elected or coopted to the Board of Directors since 2017. He has made significant contributions to the WFH through his leadership in advancing clinical care, research, and education in bleeding disorders. He has played a key role in shaping WFH medical initiatives, contributing to the development of treatment guidelines, and promoting best practices in patient care worldwide. Carlos Safadi Marquez
Vice President, Finance
Carlos Safadi Márquez is a person with severe Hemophilia A whose life and work have had a profound impact on the global bleeding disorders community. He brings years of leadership experience with the WFH to his new role as WFH Vice President, Finance, including as Vice President, NMO, from 2020 to 2024. Emna Gouider, MD
Medical Member
Emna Gouider brings years of leadership experience with the WFH Board of Directors to her new role as a Medical Member, including as Vice President, NMO, from 2024 to 2026. She led projects to improve national care pathways and advocated for women and girls with bleeding disorders. Emna Gouider, MD, is a hematologist, and is professor of hematology at the medical university of Tunis El Manar. Find out more about Emna Gouider here.
Maria Elisa Mancuso, MD
Medical Member
Maria Elisa Mancuso, MD brings years of leadership experience with the WFH to her new role. She has contributed to the WFH by advancing clinical research and helping shape evidence-based approaches to improving care for people with bleeding disorders worldwide. Maria Elisa Mancuso is a hematologist and works as a Senior Hematology Consultant at the Centre for Thrombosis and Hemorrhagic Diseases of IRCCS Humanitas Research Hospital in Rozzano, Milan, Italy. Marko Marinic
Lay Member
Marko Marinic brings years of leadership experience with the WFH to his new role, most recently as a Lay Member from 2022 to 2026. He is a person with severe hemophilia A with inhibitors. He has been President of the Croatian Haemophilia Society since 2017, and a member of the Board of Directors of the WFH since 2022. He is a scientific advisor at the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences in Zagreb, Croatia. Find out more about Marko Marinic here.
Bradley Rayner
Lay Member
Bradley Rayner is a person with hemophilia A who has been instrumental in improving the treatment and care for people living with bleeding disorders in South Africa and abroad. As a WFH volunteer, he has been a member of the WFH People with Bleeding Disorders (PWBD) Program Development Committee and has been invited as a speaker and chair at various congresses.
