Emna Gouider brings years of leadership experience with the WFH Board of Directors to her new role as a Medical Member, including as Vice President, NMO, from 2024 to 2026.
During her time as WFH Vice President, NMO, Emna Gouider, MD, focused on high-level advocacy and treatment access. She led projects to improve national care pathways and advocated for women and girls with bleeding disorders. Additionally, she was Chair of the Persons with Bleeding Disorders (PWBD) track for the WFH 2025 Comprehensive Care Summit.
Emna Gouider, MD, is a hematologist based in Tunisia, and has worked in the inherited bleeding disorders field for over two decades. She has been a volunteer with the Tunisian Association of Hemophilia—the WFH national member organization (NMO)—for nine years in various capacities, including as a board member. She is currently medical and scientific advisor for the NMO.
Gouider is also head of the Centre de traitement des hémophiles de Tunis hemophilia treatment centre (HTC) at the Hôpital Aziza Othmana, in Tunis, and professor of hematology in the medical university of Tunis El Manar. She also has organized and conducted several nurse workshops, lab workshops, patient workshops and musculoskeletal workshops through the WFH.
Emna Gouider’s invaluable experience will continue to be a great asset to the WFH as a Medical Member.
