The ten scholars—hailing from around the world and aged from 18 to 60—now have the unique opportunity to interact with leaders in the global community, build their confidence through skill-development workshops, and deepen their understanding of the current best practices in bleeding disorders care. The purpose of the scholarship is to promote the engagement of women and girls in the global bleeding disorders community by giving them opportunities for education, training, and networking.
Hearing from youth at the ‘Ask the Experts’ session was not only insightful but motivating. When I head back to Ireland, I hope to bring and implement some of the great ideas that I’ve heard to my NMO. This experience is proving to be more empowering than I could have ever imagined.
