WFH participates in WHO Regional Committee meeting for Eastern Mediterranean

La FMH au Comité régional de l’OMS pour la Méditerranée orientale

La semaine dernière, la Fédération mondiale de l’hémophilie (FMH) a participé à la 71e session de la réunion du comité régional du Bureau de l’OMS pour la Méditerranée orientale (EMRO), à Doha (Qatar). La présence de la FMH au sein du comité régional est importante car c’est pour notre communauté l’occasion de se faire entendre auprès de parties prenantes mondiales et régionales à l’OMS.

Lors d’une session dédiée à l’initiative phare de l’EMRO sur l’élargissement de l’accès équitable aux produits médicaux, la FMH a présenté une déclaration félicitant l’initiative pour sa concentration sur l’accès équitable et l’inclusion des troubles héréditaires de la coagulation dans la liste des maladies non contagieuses, la couverture sanitaire universelle (CSU) et les plans nationaux de soins primaires. La FMH a également appelé de ses vœux une initiative menée par les États membres afin d’adopter une résolution de l’Assemblée mondiale de la santé (AMS) sur l’hémophilie et les autres troubles héréditaires de la coagulation, ceci afin de contribuer à l’accès équitable dans la région EMRO et au-delà.

Les comités régionaux de l’OMS se réunissent chaque année pour élaborer des politiques, superviser les programmes régionaux, examiner les progrès effectués, évaluer et promouvoir de nouvelles initiatives. L’Assemblée mondiale de la santé est l’organe décisionnaire de l’OMS et se concentre sur des sujets spécifiques de santé mondiale identifiés par le conseil d’administration de l’OMS. Chaque année, la FMH est invitée à participer à ces réunions décisionnaires de l’OMS en tant qu’acteur non étatique, un statut officiel dont elle jouit depuis les années 1960.

The WFH has been made aware of various correspondences—circulated via e-mail and telephone—coming from individuals impersonating WFH staff or falsely stating that they are associated with the WFH. These correspondences, which may seek to obtain money using the name of someone affiliated with the WFH, are fraudulent and come from outside of our organization.

If you receive a suspicious solicitation, exercise extreme caution. In the case of an email, look at the email address to see if it looks suspicious (for example, all WFH emails come from @wfh.org).
