La FMH endeuillée par le décès du Dr Claire McLintock

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que la FMH a appris le récent décès du Dr Claire McLintock, médecin obstétricienne de l’unité National Women’s Health à l’hôpital d’Auckland, et militante pour la santé des femmes et des filles atteintes d’un trouble de la coagulation.

Mme McLintock a occupé le poste de présidente de l’ISTH de 2018 à 2020, de présidente de la Society of Obstetric Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (Société de médecine obstétrique d’Australie et de Nouvelle-Zélande) de 2008 à 2010, et de présidente de la Thrombosis and Haemostasis Society of Australia and New Zealand (Société de thrombose et d’hémostase) de 2009 à 2011. En 2019, elle a été nommée officière de l’Ordre du mérite de Nouvelle-Zélande. Elle était également active au sein de la FMH sur les questions relatives aux femmes et filles atteintes d’un trouble de la coagulation, et s’est exprimée au Congrès mondial 2018 en Écosse, puis au Sommet virtuel 2020 de la FMH.

Claire McLintock était une fervente défenseure des femmes et des filles atteintes d’un trouble de la coagulation. Son décès est une grande perte pour notre communauté, mais particulièrement pour sa famille.

The WFH has been made aware of various correspondences—circulated via e-mail and telephone—coming from individuals impersonating WFH staff or falsely stating that they are associated with the WFH. If you receive a suspicious solicitation, exercise extreme caution. In the case of an email, look at the email address to see if it looks suspicious (for example, all WFH emails come from @wfh.org).
