La FMH endeuillée par le décès de la Dr Marion Koerper (MD)

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que la Fédération mondiale de l’hémophilie (FMH) a appris le décès récent de la Dr Marion Koerper (MD). Marion était membre du Comité de la FMH sur la sécurité, l’approvisionnement et la disponibilité des produits de coagulation (CPSSA) depuis le Congrès mondial 2016 de la FMH à Orlando (États-Unis).

La Dr Koerper était une hématologue pédiatrique reconnue, qui a consacré sa carrière à faire progresser les soins aux personnes atteintes de la coagulation. Elle était fondatrice du Centre de traitement de l’hémophilie UCSF, cofondatrice de Camp Hemotion, avait occupé une position importante lors de l’épidémie de sida, et avait reçu de nombreux prix, dont le Lifetime Achievement Award de la NBDF. La Dr Koerper associait son expertise médicale à une grande empathie afin d’améliorer la vie des patient·es du monde entier aux côtés de la National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) et de la FMH.

Au nom de toute la communauté mondiale des troubles de la coagulation, la FMH tient à adresser ses plus sincères condoléances à la famille de Marion Koerper, ainsi qu’à ses ami·es et collègues.

The WFH has been made aware of various correspondences—circulated via e-mail and telephone—coming from individuals impersonating WFH staff or falsely stating that they are associated with the WFH. These correspondences, which may seek to obtain money using the name of someone affiliated with the WFH, are fraudulent and come from outside of our organization.

If you receive a suspicious solicitation, exercise extreme caution. In the case of an email, look at the email address to see if it looks suspicious (for example, all WFH emails come from @wfh.org).
