Se publica artículo sobre la atención de la hemofilia en India usando datos del RMTC

Como parte de una colaboración multicéntrica, investigadores en India utilizaron datos del Registro Mundial de Trastornos de la Coagulación (RMTC) para un análisis y publicaron sus hallazgos en Haemophilia, el periódico oficial de la Federación Mundial de Hemofilia (FMH).

El artículo “Haemophilia Care in India: A Multicentre Cross-Sectional Analysis From the World Bleeding Disorders Registry Benchmarking Across Global Gross National Income Strata” (Atención de la hemofilia en India: Análisis transversal multicéntrico de datos del Registro Mundial de Trastornos de la Coagulación que compara resultados en diferentes estratos de ingresos nacionales brutos mundiales) ofrece el primer referente nacional sobre la atención de la hemofilia en India, comparando resultados con cohortes regionales y mundiales estratificadas por nivel de ingresos. Los hallazgos revelan brechas significativas en el diagnóstico oportuno, el acceso a la profilaxis y los resultados de salud articular, lo cual refleja disparidades estrechamente vinculadas con los niveles de ingresos nacionales. A pesar de la grave carga de la enfermedad y del tratamiento profiláctico limitado, las tasas de empleo entre adultos se mantuvieron relativamente estables, lo cual destaca la resiliencia de muchas personas que viven con hemofilia.

El estudio también subraya la importancia de los datos del RMTC a fin de impulsar la investigación a nivel tanto nacional como regional, al tiempo que demuestra la manera en la que tales datos pueden apoyar actividades de cabildeo basadas en pruebas científicas. El equipo del RMTC colaboró con centros participantes, brindando apoyo en el análisis de datos y la preparación del borrador.
