Historia de éxito del Programa internacional de integración de datos del RMTC publicada en Haemophilia

La Federación Mundial de Hemofilia (FMH) se dedica de manera importante a apoyar labores de cabildeo basadas en pruebas científicas y actividades de investigación, así como a mejorar el ejercicio de la medicina entre sus organizaciones nacionales miembros (ONM) y centros de tratamiento de hemofilia (CTH).

Estos esfuerzos contribuyen a facilitar la atención sustentable alrededor del mundo. El Registro Mundial de Trastornos de la Coagulación (RMTC) –un registro mundial que recolecta datos médicos estandarizados sobre personas con hemofilia– desempeña un significativo papel en este proceso. El Programa internacional de integración de datos forma parte del RMTC y se creó con el propósito de posibilitar la combinación de datos provenientes de registros de hemofilia ya existentes.

Haemophilia –el periódico oficial de la FMH– recientemente abordó la manera en la que, en el marco del Programa internacional de integración de datos del RMTC, datos de Tailandia se agregaron con éxito al RMTC. El artículo titulado Direct transfer of data of people with haemophilia from the Thai Haemophilia Treatment Centre Registry to the World Bleeding Disorders Registry of the World Federation of Hemophilia (Transferencia directa de datos de personas con hemofilia del Registro del Centro de Tratamiento de Hemofilia Tailandés al Registro Mundial de Trastornos de la Coagulación de la Federación Mundial de Hemofilia) describe la manera en la que la Sociedad Tailandesa de Hematología (STH) y la FMH combinaron datos del registro de trastornos de la coagulación hereditarios de la STH con la base de datos del RMTC, eliminando así la duplicación en el ingreso de datos.

Como resultado de esta colaboración, en 2021, el conjunto de datos básicos y ampliados de 300 pacientes tailandeses con hemofilia A y B se integró con éxito al RMTC. Durante los próximos años, la FMH continuará colaborando con la STH en el marco del Programa internacional de integración de datos del RMTC.
