Mark joined the WFH in 2002 and dedicated more than 17 years to strengthening programs that continue to support the global bleeding disorders community today. Throughout his tenure, he played a pivotal role in expanding our understanding of the safety, availability, and supply of treatment products and was instrumental in the development of several key WFH initiatives.
Among his many contributions, Mark helped establish programs that have had a lasting impact on our community, including the Annual Global Survey (AGS), the WFH Global Forum, Project Recovery, the WFH Online Registry of Clotting Factor Concentrates, the WFH Guide to National Tenders for the Purchase of Clotting Factor Concentrates, the Regulatory Guide, and numerous educational and advocacy resources. His work provided critical data and tools that have informed policy, strengthened procurement practices, supported advocacy efforts, and improved access to treatment worldwide.
On behalf of the global bleeding disorders community, the WFH would like to express its deepest sympathies to Mark Brooker’s family, friends, and colleagues, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. He will be remembered with gratitude for his many contributions and for the legacy he leaves with the WFH and the global bleeding disorders community.
