Webinar: women and girls with bleeding disorders (WGBDs) and reproductive health

On March 8, International Women’s Day, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. EST, the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) will host “Women and girls with bleeding disorders (WGBDs) and reproductive health”, a webinar focused on von Willebrand Disease (VWD) and reproductive tract bleeding, pregnancy, and postpartum bleeding.

Participants of this webinar will have the opportunity to listen to, and to ask questions of key experts on the field, and to learn about the experiences of women with VWD. The event will:

These topics will be covered by Dawn Rotellini, WFH Board Member and chair of the WFH Women and Girls with Bleeding Disorders Committee; Lakshmi Srivaths, MD, Professor of Pediatrics and Chair of the Women and Girls with Blood Disorders Learning Action Network; Paula James, MD, Professor of Pathology & Molecular Medicine and Pediatrics and member of the WFH VWD Committee; Lauren Nyhan and and Cathy Verbraeken, two women from New Zealand with a bleeding disorder; and TBC. They will discuss the importance of early diagnosis for WGBDs as a key factor in avoiding reproductive health complications later in life.

Live interpretation for this webinar will be offered in French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic.
