HEMNET Forum showcases progress in bleeding disorders management in Eastern Mediterranean

Foro de HEMNET destaca avances en la gestión de los trastornos de la coagulación en el Mediterráneo del Este

El médico y profesor Selim Nekkal, jefe de hematología del Hospital Beni Messous, en Argel, Argelia, fue el anfitrión del 6o Foro de la Red de Hemofilia del Mediterráneo del Este (HEMNET) en Argel, del 31 de octubre al 2 de noviembre de 2024, en colaboración con la Sociedad Argelina de hematología. HEMNET es una red de expertos médicos regionales que opera bajo el auspicio de la FMH. Con una combinación de impresionantes presentaciones y paneles, el foro profundizó en los enfoques regionales y los éxitos en el tratamiento de la hemofilia, de la enfermedad de Von Willebrand y de los trastornos plaquetarios, generando nuevas ideas para la colaboración y la investigación transfronterizas.

Realizado con el apoyo de su excelencia Abdelhak Saihi, ministro de salud de Argelia, el Foro HEMNET de este año acogió al varios líderes clave de nuestra comunidad, entre ellos las doctoras Emna Gouider y Barbara Konkle, integrantes del consejo médico de la FMH; el doctor Magdy El-Ekiaby, presidente de HEMNET; líderes clave de centros de tratamiento de hemofilia (CTH) de 19 países; y representantes de organizaciones nacionales miembros (ONM) de la FMH de Argelia y varios otros países de lengua árabe. El doctor Assad Haffar, director médico y de ayuda humanitaria de la FMH; Rana Saifi, gerente regional de la FMH para el Medio Oriente; y Latifa Lamhene, presidente de la ONM de Argelia, también participaron para compartir lecciones aprendidas del apoyo de la FMH en Argelia.

The WFH has been made aware of various correspondences—circulated via e-mail and telephone—coming from individuals impersonating WFH staff or falsely stating that they are associated with the WFH. These correspondences, which may seek to obtain money using the name of someone affiliated with the WFH, are fraudulent and come from outside of our organization.

If you receive a suspicious solicitation, exercise extreme caution. In the case of an email, look at the email address to see if it looks suspicious (for example, all WFH emails come from @wfh.org).
