WFH 2024 World Congress wraps up

The WFH 2024 World Congress has to come a close! Over 3,000 delegates from many walks of life came from 135 countries to expand their knowledge and network with colleagues. On behalf of the WFH and everyone in the global inherited bleeding disorders community, thank you. Your participation is proof of our community’s commitment to the WFH vision of Treatment for All. Christine Lee Young Researcher Award recipients announced

Congratulations to Geneviève McCluskey and Rodrigo Núñez-Cortés for winning the Christine Lee Young Researcher Award best oral and best poster respectively! The Christine Lee Young Researcher Award is given to a top young researcher (graduate student or postdoctoral fellow) who is the primary author and presenter of a highly rated submitted abstract in any discipline involving hemophilia or other related bleeding disorders. Congratulations!

How to claim CME credits

To ensure you get your CME credits, remember to scan your badge once when you arrive, and once when you leave the conference centre at the end of each day. You will need an EBAH account in order to claim credits.

Don’t have an account? You can create a free account here. If you are having difficulties creating a new EBAH account, please note you will be able to complete your account after Congress on the EBAH website.

Mark your calendar for the WFH 2025 Comprehensive Care Summit!

The WFH 2025 Comprehensive Care Summit is headed to Dubai, United Arab Emirates! The global summit will encompass the biennial International WFH Musculoskeletal (MSK) Congress, and will include MSK, medical and multi-disciplinary tracks—all centering around people with bleeding disorders. This summit is open internationally to all participants. Stay tuned for more information, and be sure to follow us on social media or on the WFH News page for updates!

Closing plenary ends Congress on a high note

Today’s closing plenary saw the WFH and Fedhemo officially close the WFH 2024 World Congress. After a successful three days of learning and networking, spirits and emotions were high. The event included speeches by Congress stakeholders and Edwin Goh, President of Hemophilia Society of Malaysia, host of the next WFH World Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2026.  Watch the video here.

Unauthorized solicitations – Warning

The WFH has been made aware of various correspondences—circulated via e-mail and telephone—coming from individuals impersonating WFH staff or falsely stating that they are associated with the WFH. These correspondences, which may seek to obtain money using the name of someone affiliated with the WFH, are fraudulent and come from outside of our organization.

If you receive a suspicious solicitation, exercise extreme caution. In the case of an email, look at the email address to see if it looks suspicious (for example, all WFH emails come from @wfh.org).
