Bishesh Poudyal cooptado al Consejo Directivo de la FMH

La Asamblea General de la Reunión Anual 2022 de la Federación Mundial de Hemofilia (FMH) tuvo lugar el sábado 8 de mayo, antes del Congreso Mundial 2022 de la FMH. Durante este evento se reeligieron y eligieron varios miembros del consejo directivo. También se cooptó a otro miembro del consejo directivo.

El doctor Bishesh Poudyal, profesor de hematología, coordinador DM de hematología y jefe de hematología clínica y de trasplante de médula ósea del Hospital del Servicio Civil de Katmandú, Nepal, fue cooptado al consejo directivo de la FMH como miembro médico. Poudyal ha participado con la Sociedad de Hemofilia de Nepal (SHN) y con la FMH durante muchos años. Es promotor del Registro Mundial de Trastornos de la Coagulación (RMTC) de la FMH, ha compartido su experiencia práctica con la FMH y ayudado a mejorar la recolección de datos a escala mundial. Con la SHN formó parte de un equipo de dedicados miembros de la comunidad que abogaron con éxito ante diferentes niveles del gobierno nepalés tanto para mejorar el reconocimiento de los trastornos de la coagulación, como para obtener financiamiento adicional. Poudyal también ha trabajado incansablemente como profesor, compartiendo sus conocimientos sobre el uso eficaz de productos donados a través del Programa de ayuda Humanitaria de la FMH, e instruyendo a los pacientes sobre la mejor manera de controlar su trastorno. The WFH has been made aware of various correspondences—circulated via e-mail and telephone—coming from individuals impersonating WFH staff or falsely stating that they are associated with the WFH.
