La Asamblea General de la FMH emite una declaración sobre la edición 2023 de las listas de medicamentos esenciales de la OMS

Durante la Reunión Anual 2024 de la Asamblea General de la Federación Mundial de Hemofilia (FMH), celebrada el pasado 21 de abril durante el Congreso Mundial 2024 de la FMH, se adoptó una moción relativa a la inclusión del crioprecipitado y del crioprecipitado con patógenos reducidos en la edición 2023 de la Lista de Medicamentos Esenciales (LME) y de la Lista de Medicamentos Esenciales para Niños (LMEN) de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS).

Durante la Reunión Anual 2024 de la Asamblea General de la FMH, Brian O’Mahony, director ejecutivo de la Sociedad Irlandesa de Hemofilia, organización nacional miembro de la FMH, presentó la moción, la cual fue votada y ratificada, como sigue:

“Que se expresó grave preocupación respecto a la decisión de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) de incluir el crioprecipitado y el crioprecipitado con patógenos reducidos en la Lista de Medicamentos Esenciales básica, mientras que los concentrados de factores de coagulación, seguros y eficaces, se relegaron a la lista de medicamentos complementarios. Esto generará morbilidad y mortalidad. La Asamblea General hace un llamado a la OMS para que revierta sin mayor demora esta decisión equivocada.”

Unauthorized solicitations – Warning

The WFH has been made aware of various correspondences—circulated via e-mail and telephone—coming from individuals impersonating WFH staff or falsely stating that they are associated with the WFH. These correspondences, which may seek to obtain money using the name of someone affiliated with the WFH, are fraudulent and come from outside of our organization.

If you receive a suspicious solicitation, exercise extreme caution. In the case of an email, look at the email address to see if it looks suspicious (for example, all WFH emails come from @wfh.org).
