WFH International Women’s Day Webinar 2026

International Women’s Day: WFH to host webinar on pregnancy-related bleeding

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) is hosting a webinar focused on postpartum hemorrhage and other pregnancy-related bleeding. The online event will take place on Friday, March 6, from 8:00 to 9:30 EST, and is organized by the WFH Women and Girls with Bleeding Disorders Committee.

Also available in: Français Español

The webinar will examine key issues in managing bleeding during and after pregnancy, a critical area of care for women with inherited bleeding disorders. Participants will hear from experts about risk factors, clinical approaches, and strategies to improve outcomes for mothers affected by excessive bleeding. In addition to this, the webinar will highlight the 100th anniversary of the discovery of von Willebrand disease (VWD)—the most common inherited bleeding disorder—and reflect on progress made in diagnosis, care, and awareness over the past century.

This webinar will help underscore the importance of elevating women’s health issues in research, clinical care, and advocacy in our community. Interpretation will be offered in Spanish, French, and Arabic.
