The Vice President, NMO is responsible for supporting national member organization (NMO) involvement, and for contributing to the development of WFH strategic goals. As Vice President, NMO, Emna Gouider will advise on WFH NMO training programs and the accreditation of WFH Associate and full NMOs. During her previous term as WFH Vice President, NMO, she advised on capacity-building, advocacy and treatment access initiatives, and was a key contributor to projects focused on improving national care pathways and advocating for women and girls with bleeding disorders.
Additionally, Emna Gouider is chair of the WFH Accreditation Committee, which is responsible for the accreditation of associate and full NMOs, and is also a member of the WFH Hemophilia Organization Twinning Committee and the PACT Advocacy Academy Expert Working Group. During her previous mandate as Vice President, NMO, she served on the program committees of a number of major WFH events, including as the Chair of the People with Bleeding Disorders (PWBD) track for the WFH 2025 Comprehensive Care Summit, and as a member of the Global NMO Training program working group and the Global Policy and Access Summit Program Committee, among others.
Emna Gouider, MD, is a hematologist based in Tunisia, and has worked in the inherited bleeding disorders field for over two decades. She has been a volunteer with the Tunisian Association of Hemophilia—the WFH NMO—for many years in various capacities, including as a board member. She is currently medical and scientific advisor for the NMO and has vast experience in fostering close partnerships between patient organizations and healthcare providers to achieve broader impact.
Emna Gouider is also head of the hemophilia treatment centre (HTC) at the Aziza Othmana Hospital, in Tunis, and professor of hematology in the university of Tunis El Manar. She also has organized and conducted numerous educational workshops in multidisciplinary fields with the WFH, such as workshops for nurses, laboratory specialists, musculoskeletal professionals, as well as patients and families.
Emna Gouider’s invaluable experience will continue to be a great asset to the WFH as Vice President, NMO, and as a Medical Member.
