A concerted effort by the WFH and its partners has led to the WHO updating its EML and the Essential Medicines List for Children (EMLc) to better align the EMLs to the international clinical guidelines for the management of hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease (VWD). The webinar “WHO Essential Medicines List 2025 Update: Impact on Bleeding Disorders Community” will show how these revisions can be leveraged to have a positive impact on lives of people with bleeding disorders everywhere.
The objectives of the webinar are to provide information on these critical changes that have been made to WHO EMLs, the advocacy carried out by the WFH in collaboration with key partners and stakeholders from the bleeding disorders community, and what the changes mean in practice for our community. During the webinar, participants will hear from Cesar Garrido, WFH President; Glenn Pierce, MD, PhD, WFH Vice President, Medical; and Brian O’Mahony, Chief Executive, Irish Haemophilia Society. A Q&A session will follow the talks.
