McLintock held the position of President at the ISTH from 2018 to 2020; was President of the Society of Obstetric Medicine of Australia and New Zealand from 2008 to 2010; and President of the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Society of Australia and New Zealand from 2009 to 2011. In 2019, she was named as an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit. She was also involved with the WFH on issues related to WGBDs and spoke at both the 2018 World Congress in Scotland, and the WFH Virtual Summit in 2020.

Claire McLintock was a champion for women and girls with bleeding disorders. Her passing is a huge loss for our community, but most especially for her family.

On behalf of the global bleeding disorders community, the WFH would like to express its deepest sympathies to all of Claire McLintock’s family members, friends, and colleagues.

We’ve accomplished a lot this year, we need your help to continue strong.
