REQUEST HUMANITARIAN AID

Request Humanitarian Aid

The WFH Humanitarian Aid Program improves the lack of access to care and treatment by providing much-needed support to national member organizations (NMOs), hemophilia treatment centres (HTCs), and healthcare practitioners (HCPs) in emerging countries.

REQUESTING SUPPORT

The WFH Humanitarian Aid Program provides support to NMOs and HTCs all around the world. If you wish to request help, please contact us at [email protected]. To qualify for donations, your country generally needs to have a per capita use of clotting factor concentrate of less than one international unit (IU). Donations are only sent to registered HTCs or to WFH NMOs that have signed an agreement and/or MoU with the WFH Humanitarian Aid Program.

Approved NMOs or HTCs will work together with the WFH and their local authorities to obtain the necessary import licensing needed to allow the donation to be custom cleared and delivered in a timely manner. Once the relevant documentation has been prepared, the donations are packaged and shipped by RX Crossroads (U.S.A.), Gerinnungs Zentrum Rhein-Ruhr (GZRR) (Germany), or De Jong Special Services (Netherlands).

As part of the donation process, the WFH will review the utilization of donated product. This is a crucial step, as we need to understand the true need for donations and the distribution infrastructure status. Therefore, we have created an online database to facilitate reporting and processing of submitted reports.
