On September 8 and 9, 2021, the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) will host its first-ever Global Policy and Access Summit. This two-day event will cover strategies for sustaining and advancing bleeding disorders care now, and in a post-pandemic world, and will promote dialogue and knowledge exchange between national member organizations (NMOs), healthcare providers and national governments to deliver better care. Participants will have a unique opportunity to collaborate and share information with colleagues related to global policy and access to care.
The Global Policy and Access Summit program will cover the current landscape of access to treatment and care globally, effective strategies to improve access to care, and models of care delivery. It will also cover the economics of care and access to therapies, and procurement models. A panel session will showcase the role of patient organizations, healthcare providers and decision makers in care, and will present examples and perspectives on decision-making. The Summit will also feature the launch of the Academy for Bleeding Disorders Advocacy—a new endeavour which is part of the WFH Path to Access to Care and Treatment (PACT) Program.
The Global Policy and Access Summit 2021 will offer simultaneous interpretation in Spanish, French, Russian and Arabic. To read the program, click here. To register, click here.
