Felipe Contreras was born on August 29, 1982, and studied percussion before going on to kinesiology to fulfil his desire to help others—especially the hemophilia community. He volunteered for the Sociedad Chilena de Hemofilia for more than 14 years, where, as Vice President, he led the NMO’s research efforts. He could often be found providing therapy for patients or speaking about the importance of early musculoskeletal interventions to prevent or reverse joint damage. Felipe was an active musculoskeletal volunteer, participated in many webinars, and was also an important part of the Latin-American musculoskeletal group led by Carla Daffunchio. He and his wife Anaías volunteered at La Viña de Las Condes Church, supporting a soccer school for vulnerable children.
