The WFH 2022 World Congress will take place as scheduled in May 2022

Around the world, COVID-19 pandemic restrictions are being lifted, and Montreal is no exception. Congress halls, restaurants and other venues are now reopening to their full capacity and travel will be easier starting in March. In many countries, the loosening of restrictions will continue in the coming weeks.

After a careful analysis of the current situation and in consultation with key stakeholders, the WFH and the Canadian Hemophilia Society (CHS) are pleased to announce that the WFH 2022 World Congress will take place as scheduled, in person in Montreal, Canada. For those who will not be able to join us, we will offer select sessions through our virtual platform from May 8 to 11, 2022.

The international bleeding disorders community has shown resilience through the pandemic and has overcome many challenges over the past few months. It has been two years since the global bleeding disorders community has been able to meet in person. Join us in person or virtually at the WFH 2022 World Congress this May!

As you may be aware, Canada and its provinces have eased restrictions in different areas that will make it possible for us to offer you a more favorable Congress experience! If you can join us in person, here are three simple steps to follow to get you ready for Congress 2022:

The health, safety and well-being of our delegates, speakers, exhibitors, staff, and workers is of paramount importance to the WFH and we are constantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation in Canada. We will continue to work closely with local health authorities to incorporate the latest health safety protocols into the planning and organization of the in-person component of the WFH 2022 World Congress. Virtual attendees will enjoy select live broadcasted sessions, as well as additional on-demand content which will be made available to all attendees after Congress. Engagement activities are being planned to offer our virtual audience opportunities to interact, ask, learn, share, or simply relax with our mindful breaks between sessions.

Unauthorized solicitations – Warning

The WFH has been made aware of various correspondences—circulated via e-mail and telephone—coming from individuals impersonating WFH staff or falsely stating that they are associated with the WFH. These correspondences, which may seek to obtain money using the name of someone affiliated with the WFH, are fraudulent and come from outside of our organization.

If you receive a suspicious solicitation, exercise extreme caution. In the case of an email, look at the email address to see if it looks suspicious (for example, all WFH emails come from @wfh.org).
