The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) has released a number of free resources you can use to celebrate World Hemophilia Day, including downloadable materials and a social media toolkit. This year we have also released—for the very first time—an advocacy toolkit.
The advocacy toolkit offers helpful hints on how to organize an advocacy event, how to encourage a landmark to Light it Up Red, how to contact a government official to request more support for your bleeding disorders community, how to tell your story in a persuasive way, and how to take action locally. Also included are two templates (in PDF and MS Word format) that you can modify to suit your specific needs. The Light it Up Red letter can be edited and sent to landmark managers to encourage them to light up their building or monument in red. Similarly, the government petition letter template can be personalized and sent to a decision-maker in your region or country.
