A major challenge for people with bleeding disorders (PWBDs) in the Gaza Strip is that access to treatment products is currently extremely limited or non-existent. The WFH has been working tirelessly with our partners to get donated WFH Humanitarian Aid Program factor to the community, but unfortunately, that has thus far been impossible due to ongoing distribution channel issues.
We are continuing to monitor developments daily, and we are collaborating with all our partners and are ready to ship treatment products as soon as it is possible and safe to do so. The WFH is also closely working with international organizations to see how to best support the community in the Gaza Strip.
The WFH urges all parties to do what can be done to allow donated factor and other medical aid to reach those who need it in the Gaza Strip. We also urge those parties to work to ensure that hospitals and other medical facilities are operational so that all people who need medical support can get it.
We will continue to provide updates on what we are doing to support the bleeding disorders communities affected by the current situation. On behalf of everyone at the WFH, we wish for safety and peace for both communities.
