The very first donated emicizumab product was given to two patients in Zambia this past spring. The donation is the first of its kind from Roche, who has generously committed to donating enough emicizumab to treat 1,000 patients over five years.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created massive challenges for the bleeding disorders community—especially when it comes to ensuring uninterrupted care for people with hemophilia (PWH). Nepal was particularly hard hit by the crisis when the country went on a complete lockdown and lost access to donated factor for months.
