The Hemophilia Alliance Travel Fund<\/a> supports U.S.A.-based WFH multidisciplinary committee member\u2019s attendance of WFH international meetings and conferences. With the continued commitment and generosity of the Hemophilia Alliance for advancing the knowledge of healthcare professionals in the bleeding disorders community, travel grant recipients have opportunities for connection and exchange with their international peers. \u201cDue to the [COVID-19 pandemic], our institution was not releasing any funds for travel to conferences. If I had not received this grant, the musculoskeletal committee would have had zero committee members attending the conference,\u201d said Bailey. As a doctor of physiotherapy, Bailey returned to California, U.S.A, better equipped to support her patients. \u201cI have new suggestions to provide families, coaches, and student-athletes [related to] training and game-day dosing that ensure their safety as they progress in their sport.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The global community\u2019s participation and attendance at the WFH World Congress helps to support our vision of Treatment for All. Travel grant recipient Rebecca Schaffer, a member of the WFH Dental Committee, knows firsthand the impact that her attendance has on the bleeding disorders community. \u201cThere are very few dentists in the United States who willingly care for people with bleeding disorders, making my attendance that much more important, as there is no substitute for international gatherings like this one.\u201d Schaffer\u2014like all travel grant recipients\u2014wants to help her patients do their daily activities safely without compromising their health. \u201cMy patients are already benefitting in ways that would not have been possible without my attendance in Montreal,\u201d she explains. \u201cThe grant allows all recipients to contribute to the WFH\u2019s mission. Thank you, Hemophilia Alliance, for making my attendance possible.\u201d<\/p>
