Les besoins et objectifs de nos ONM sont divers et complexes, et nous nous effor\u00e7ons de rester suffisamment flexibles pour y r\u00e9pondre. Chaque nouvelle ONM, associ\u00e9e ou non, est une nouvelle opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9tendre le soutien de la FMH.<\/p>\n<p>Vandy Jayah est infirmier et pr\u00e9sident de la SMHF. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 fer de lance dans la cr\u00e9ation de cette organisation, apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 t\u00e9moin de la souffrance d\u2019une personne atteinte d\u2019h\u00e9mophilie. \u00ab\u00a0J\u2019ai vu [le patient] faire une h\u00e9morragie que nous ne pouvions pas arr\u00eater, et je ne comprenais pas pourquoi. L\u2019h\u00f4pital Edward Francis Small, situ\u00e9 dans la ville de Banjul, est le seul du pays \u00e0 proposer des soins sp\u00e9cifiques aux troubles de la coagulation, et seul\u00b7es quelques professionnel\u00b7les de sant\u00e9 ont re\u00e7u une v\u00e9ritable formation sur la prise en charge des troubles de la coagulation. Actuellement, le pays est enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9pendant des dons de la FMH par le biais du <a href=\"https:\/\/wfh.org\/fr\/aide-humanitaire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Programme d\u2019aide humanitaire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jayah explique que la vie est tr\u00e8s difficile en Gambie pour les personnes atteintes d\u2019h\u00e9mophilie. Il n\u2019y a pas assez de produits th\u00e9rapeutiques pour la totalit\u00e9 des patient\u00b7es, et nombre d\u2019entre eux vivent dans des zones isol\u00e9es. Il se souvient d\u2019un patient qui est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 car il n\u2019avait pas pu se rendre \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital \u00e0 temps pour \u00eatre soign\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La Safe Motherhood and Hemophilia Foundation The Gambia a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 2019. Aujourd\u2019hui, elle compte plus de 30 membres, dont 16 personnes atteintes d\u2019un trouble de la coagulation ou membres de leur famille. M.\u00a0Jayah explique pourquoi la SMHF d\u00e9sire devenir ONM associ\u00e9e\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Nous souhaitons faire partie de la FMH pour am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de vie de tous les patients atteints d\u2019h\u00e9mophilie ou de troubles de la coagulation en Gambie, avec le soutien de la FMH et du gouvernement de Gambie.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>La FMH est ravie d\u2019accueillir la SMHF en tant qu\u2019organisation membre.
