Su compromiso para impulsar la salud p\u00fablica en Tailandia era reconocido: fue la primera en utilizar concentrados de plaquetas para el tratamiento del dengue; inici\u00f3 el uso del crioprecipitado para el tratamiento de la hemofilia, y de las pruebas de detecci\u00f3n del ant\u00edgeno del VIH. A la cabeza del servicio nacional de hemofilia de Tailandia impuls\u00f3 mejoras estrat\u00e9gicas que sentaron las bases para la atenci\u00f3n de la hemofilia en el pa\u00eds, adem\u00e1s de establecer una norma de atenci\u00f3n regional.<\/p>\n<p>Durante los a\u00f1os ochenta, la profesora Isarangkura dirigi\u00f3 la oficina regional de la FMH para la Asociaci\u00f3n de Naciones del Sudeste Asi\u00e1tico (ASEAN por su sigla en ingl\u00e9s), la \u00fanica que permaneci\u00f3 activa m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de mediados de los a\u00f1os noventa, gracias a su eficaz liderazgo. Respetada por su singular mezcla de diplomacia y determinaci\u00f3n, fue mentora de colegas a trav\u00e9s del sudeste asi\u00e1tico. En 2004, su participaci\u00f3n fue determinante para el \u00e9xito del Congreso Mundial 2024 de la FMH en Bangkok, Tailandia.<\/p>\n<p>A nombre de la comunidad mundial de trastornos de la coagulaci\u00f3n, la FMH desea expresar sus m\u00e1s sinceras condolencias a la familia, amigos y colegas de la profesora Parttaporn Isarangkura.
