Fue fundadora del Centro de Tratamiento de Hemofilia de la UCSF; cofundadora de Camp Hemotion; l\u00edder durante la epidemia del sida y receptora de numerosos reconocimientos, entre ellos el premio a la trayectoria de toda una vida de la National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF).
