Everything you need for World Hemophilia Day 2025

World Hemophilia Day 2025 is coming soon! On April 17, 2025, the global bleeding disorders community will come together to celebrate World Hemophilia Day. The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) encourages everyone to engage with the community on April 17 and let your voice be heard!

WFH statement on recent developments related to hemophilia therapies

Despite advancements in care, people with hemophilia (PWH) still face major challenges around the world. Lack of access to care means that two-thirds of the global hemophilia population lacks treatment. Even in higher income countries, treatment is burdensome and breakthrough bleeding occurs. While recent therapies have addressed some critical needs, and commercialized gene therapies for hemophilia have shown encouraging, yet variable, results, a cure remains distant for most PWH. Continued innovation is essential to ensure better care for the global hemophilia community.

The WFH 2025 Comprehensive Care Summit: New Developments in Bleeding Disorders and MSK, will take place in just a over a month, from April 23 to 25, 2025, in Dubai, U.A.E. The event will feature many experts, including Carla Daffunchio, a leading physiotherapist from the Hemophilia Foundation of Buenos Aires in Argentina and the Chair of the WFH Musculoskeletal Committee.
